Never shipped, July 12, 2010 By Retired Sailor (TN) - See all my reviews This review is from: OFF-THE-WALL BRELLA - 7.5 Ft. with Olefin Fabric (Antique Beige) (94"H x 88"W x 45"D) I ordered this item on 10 June and all indications were that it was "in stock" and would ship June 16-21. It is now June 30 and the only status I have is that it will "ship soon" and that it cannot be cancelled. I gave this one star because of the lack of responsiveness from Blue Star Group. I have always been more than 100% satisfied with products from Amazon but this experience has been hard to swallow. I sent my second query to Blue Star Group today requesting shipping status. P.S. I received the base in about 3 days from Brookstone which was faster than I thought I would. However a base with no umbrella is quite UNSATISFACTORY.

OFF-THE-WALL BRELLA 7.5 Ft. Half Umbrella, April 28, 2010 By AT (Mobile, AL USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase Seems to be excellent quality, withstands decent gusts. Good height, I'm 6'2" and I can can walk beneath it with a few inches to spare, although about 6" from the rim to the top of the window. Great shade especially in the hot midday sun, fits perfectly against my apartment patio window (double-pane, size of a sliding glass door). I thought it would be good rain protection, but the panels have a little slack in them, so rain pools a bit at the base of each panel. Excellent buy - I bring it inside at night to keep it out of the elements, so I have a feeling this investment was worth it.

We bought 7.5 and 9 foot sizes of these and within months, they had begun to tear along the seams, even though they were in protected locations. We were shocked then to learn - as this had never been posted or disclosed - that there is only a 30 day warranty on these items.
Buying a 7.5 or 9 foot version of these along with the necessary half base runs one at least $300 or more for the set. To pay $300 for a product which is not warranted to last more than 30 days is ridiculous.
We wasted more than $600 on these products and they don't hold up well, although it is a neat idea. I would caution anyone against buying.
